TerraLuzPrivacy Policy
This policy explains how TerraLuz Collections G.P. ("TerraLuz", "we", "us") collects, uses and protects personal information when you visit terraluz.ca, use any of our mobile apps, or do business with us. We follow Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector, Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and other applicable privacy laws.
1. Our website
terraluz.ca does not use cookies, analytics, advertising trackers or third-party scripts. Like most web servers, ours briefly keeps standard technical logs (IP address, date and time, page requested, browser type) for security and troubleshooting. We delete these logs within 30 days and do not use them to identify you.
2. Our apps
Each app collects only what it needs to work. Unless an app's store listing or in-app notice says otherwise:
- We do not require an account and do not ask for your name, email or phone number.
- Data you create in an app stays on your device.
- We do not sell your personal information or share it for advertising.
If an app uses a feature that needs more data, such as cloud sync, purchases, crash reports or optional analytics, we explain what is collected and why in that app's privacy details on the App Store or Google Play, and ask for consent where required. Purchases are processed by Apple or Google under their own privacy policies. We never receive your payment card details.
3. When you contact us or do business with us
If you email us or place a trade order for stones, we use your name, contact details and the content of your message to reply, fulfil orders and keep the business records the law requires. We keep this information only as long as needed for those purposes or as the law requires.
4. Sharing
We share personal information only with service providers who help us run our business (for example email and hosting providers, payment processors and shipping carriers), when the law requires it, or with your consent. Our service providers may process information outside Canada, where it may be accessible under the laws of that country.
5. Children
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 14 without the consent of a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
6. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect personal information, including encrypting connections to this website (HTTPS).
7. Your rights
You may ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or withdraw your consent, by emailing privacy@terraluz.ca. We reply within 30 days. If you're not satisfied with our answer, you may complain to the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
8. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above shows when it last changed.
